Bio — Luiza Prado

Luiza Prado works between rope, steel and ritual. Trained as a shibari model and bottom performer, she moves through suspension as a language of tension, weight and surrender. Her practice began in the underground stages of São Paulo and has since travelled through festivals, galleries and theatres in Europe and Latin America, in collaboration with riggers and artists such as Hajime Kinoko, Ana Vohs, Mysaki, Fenix Phoenix and Foraisso. The chain came later — colder, louder, unforgiving. Where rope negotiates, steel demands. Between the two materials she builds a body that is neither object nor spectacle, but architecture in motion: a structure that holds, fails, and holds again. Every performance is an act of trust made public, a ritual of exposure where pain, elegance and control occupy the same breath.
